Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I have zero regrets. There's nothing I dislike about the car; it fits my driving style perfectly. I also have no real desire to mod my Evo, as I think it's great as it is. There's no other car I'd rather own short of a GT3, and even then I'd keep the Evo. I'm not a kid and I've driven my share of fine automobiles. No other car has given me as much driving pleasure.

I reget the mod path I decided to go with my 2003 VIII. I purchased it so early, there weren't many options out there unfortunately. It ultimately led me to sell it, and I wish I still had the car (and not have bought 3 in-between and be so broke).

But in the end, I love my IX so much more, and have gotten it on the track some!

I regret not being able to buy a IX instead of a VIII cause my mods would have been better suited.

I have only owned it for about two months now and am already considering selling it, for either a E46 M, or MKIV supra TT

Well I wouldn't call a new clutch. tires, brake pads and rotors a "problem". From the sounds of it, you drive the car hard.....so you have to replace wear items which clutches, tires, pads and rotars are.......WEAR parts.

As for the boost leak, I also wouldn't call that a problem. Sounds like that was related to the aftermarket exhaust you installed. Again.....not stock so how can you call that a problem related to the stock car???

How many 35k cars have you owned? Doesn't sound like many. I've had 24 cars in the past 6 years and let me tell you, I don't care if the car cost 65k or 20k, all cars have their own unique "issues". Currently I have an 05 Evo, 05 Rx-8, 05 BMW X5 and 02 VW GTI VR6. As far as your problems are concerned, if you drive a car hard, you'll need to replace wear items, if you replace parts with aftermarket ....they might cause other issues depending on the quality of the replacement part and the quality of the install.

Pesonally I love the evo. I wanted a "raw" car. Its my daily driver. I have a one hour (40 mi) trip to work - each way - and I take the evo. Before the evo I used an 04 Audi A4 Quattro as a daily driver. The audi was much different (talk about problems ;-) ) but I like the raw feeling of the evo. It will need a new clutch soon but ...... "if you want to play, you have to pay"

I regret it everytime I pull up to the pump... but other than that, I love it. I can honestly say that my mood changes everytime I start her up. It makes me happy owning and driving it, even with the high price of mods/insurance/gas/repair's, and I'm sure im not alone in that.
