Boost leak wont happen due to an aftermarket exhaust! Unless you replaced the exhaust manifold and its cracked or something... more likely an IC hose that needs to be tightened... if you do a search for "boost leak" you can find plenty of info and probably figure out was is causing yours... I'll tell you right now its not your exhaust

my only regret in this matter would be the attention that it gets... sometimes its the police but for the most part the little honda civic with the huge exhaust and 747 wing that comes and tries to get you to play ... not hating on the honda nation but did you really know what you were doing when you rolled up and farted, i mean rev ...

Yeah compared to a mustang they arent bad, but compared to something like a supra tt, rx7 fd, swaped cars ect. they arent that great.

The low resale value is a bummer. But the biggest regret that I have is that after owning and driving an EVO it's really hard to find another car to match it's performance, let alone better it for anything near it's price..... It ruins other cars for you

True true. I had a 93 Rx-7 (FD) and I would (could) get single digit fuel mileage. Although the Rx-8 also has issues. You should see what people say on the Rx-8 forum. Many people get 12 - 14 mpg average mpg. I get about 18 - 20 mpg on the highway w/ the Rx-8 (premium fuel also).

So for me the evo actually gets better mpg than my Rx-8. Hell my X5 only gets 14 - 15 mpg of premium.

I only regret that I can't afford to buy more of them for everone I know!

Oh, and I regret all the wanna-be BMW guys who buy Evo's and then complain about the lack of cheezy wood interior trim.

You are kidding, right? The old Mustangs GT and Cobra bring good prices even in ragged shape. And they cost a lot less than the EVO... My '05 MR cost $35K and I can't get more than $20K~$24K on trade in.....

I regret purchasing a car that is fun as hell to drive, carves mountain passes like a hot knife through butter, able to hold more than 2 passengers including driver, able to beat many cars on the road with ease, a car that draws a lot of attention especially from cops.

But mainly I regret living my life a 1/4 mile at a time. For those 13.7 seconds or less, I thought I was free.

Yes I know 13.7 is rather slow for a 1/4 mile time...but I didnt buy this car to drag

This has to do with a few things:

How quickly Mitsu introduced new models. This will drop previous year's resale values more than normal.

The fact that you're talking trade-in. What you get for a trade-in to a dealer is more a factor of your negotiation skills than anything else. It also depends what kind of dealer it is and if they'll just be selling it wholesale.

I've seen 03 Z06s going for around 30k. That's a pretty big resale drop. I think people forget that just about all cars depreciate and that the Evo's don't actually depreciate that much.

This car is my daily driver in summer and modding will not go beyond stage 1...So unless it breaks I dont regret anything. Infact I love the fact that this car has so much potential...It keeps me happy even if I dont mod...

Other cars reach a certain limit way to fast and they become a liability....
