I thought it was kinda crappy when my friend bought his 03 Gt for over 25 and then sold it for less than three years later for under 14

I go back and forth. There are days when I love the car beyond measure and am proud as can be to own it. I love the way it drives - the rawness of it. I also enjoy the attention, to be honest. Then there are days when I seriously wish I could get out of it and drive something more economical and less tempermental. For example, I'm currently experiencing brake woes with no end in sight. I can afford the Evo but just because I can doesn't mean I should. Last month I spent almost $2500 on the car (payment, insurance, gas, new windshield, new brakes and new tires). Granted, a lot of this expense was a flukish confluence of events, but it was aggravating all the same. Any car that one owns is going to cost money. All in all, I still enjoy the car enough to not bitterly regret buying it. Would I do it all again, knowing what I know now? Ehh... probably

I put on 76K in three years of Driving, I now have a GG MR and I regret that the interior still creeks and squeeks when I drive. I sometimes miss having a Plush Automatic when you can just sit in and drive, no worries, no attention, the Evo requires constant attention.

^^True That. Exactly what he was saying. I would be super satisfied and happy if I owned one right now. I mean I wish I can own an Evo right now, but i'm being realistic with myself and I know I just don't have the money to afford an Evo right now. Thats why I got a lancer oz rally for now. Hopefully i'll be able to buy an Evo soon....

I have spent quite a bit on mods (for a car under a year old).

I have just over 10,000 miles and have already replaced tires & brakes (pads/rotors).

The car does have a few interior rattles and obviously none of the electronic bells and whistles of other cars in this range

I did not wait (before buying) it to compare it to the Mazdaspeed3 (had a Mazdaspeed Protege before and loved it)

Yet, NO REGRETS! I love my EB Evo IX. I take it to the track, I drive it daily and still want to just take it for a spin when I am bored.

102000 miles in 3 years! No regrets and I won't have any! As soon as the EVO X comes out I'll have that as a familly car and this is going to be my weekend warrior!
