Visually, those charts are initially deceptive, appearing to be verry narrow. However, upon further analysis, the power band is actually quite broad and very impressive.

How much boost is he running now?

His subject seems to suggest that those are teh numbers measured at the wheels.

Sorry for the O-T Al but I have a couple of questions...

What core do pruven use for their intercoolers? What do you think about the power steering cooler and has it helped at all? Why do you need to use an adjustable fuel pressure regulator at such an early stage? Your answers would be much appreciated.

thanks.

I assume you are commenting on the STI graphs? The torque curve is nice! I'm not sure what the boost was for this run, but he has stated that the turbo "falls flat on its face at 17psi at higher RPMs", plus boost cut is occuring around that number. I guess my point is that the boost was probably less than 17psi. He is planning to replace the stock turbo fairly soon. (at the speed he is going, probably tommorrow.. )

----------------------------------------

Al,
Nice graphs!!!! Wonder how your clutch is going to do trying to keep up with all the power you are making?

Speedlimit...

No diffrence in power steering operation - - except to note that the power stering cooler is prob big enough for a WRC!

I am using the adjustable FPR now in order to accomplish some game playing with the ignition timing curve - by either reducing or increasing fuel pressure you can manipulate the base line ignition timing becuase with more or less fuel pressure then you have to make a bigger or smaller MAF signal correction with the stand alone

RMR actually said they took OUT fuel pressure

I added anout 10 KPA's - not much but thats what I winded up with

Finally - you just can't beat that aeromotive for boost response - its a great unit

The power band is NOT as wide - especially the trq - the aftermarket STI v. EVO contest is far from over - - - lets see where these cars are at in 6 months

Its a fuel pressure regulator - you can see it on my evo web page which is located at www.pruvenperformance.com - just look under media - my car is at the bottom

Saw you moving slowly (traffic) near exit 9. Very excited to see the car finally. Wish you had it sideways but still looked good. Keep it movin with the mods, good work!

Whoever he is, he's making a ton of torque really early on so it's hard to compare, but , for less than 1k too.

Al, those grapes are a little sour.
