Washer fluid freezes and clogged the hose.. HELP?

its been subzero for couple days here in the midwest.. i think my washer fluid hose is clogged by frozed fluid inside the hose because nothing come out from the nozzles even i have a full tank of fluid. i parked my car in the garage overnight but no luck because its too cold. if the washer fluid tank is not located in the trunk, i think it would never happen... HELP?

Get you car parked in a heated garage for a few hours if you can. When you go pick it up to leave you should be good to go.

Get the stuff for melting ice. I got some orange shlt that melts ice down to like -40 or something..

Get some and fill the bottle as much as you can, let it sit for a while, and it should be fine.

On a side note, yeah it's really f*ckin cold here. So cold accually that my classes were cancelled today. -12 right now with a -28 wind chill.. holy shlt..

I have been watching out for this to happen to be again. It is -4 deg where I am at right now with a wind chill of -22 deg. It happened with my civic last year and oh man was it a pain. If you have room to add more fluid, try adding the de-icer washer fluid. This will still take forever but it starts to help. Put it in the garage and use a hairdryer and just leave it. Then try thawing the lines running up to the front. As more washer fluid melts replace it with more de-icer. The once you get it spraying, run the washer until you are sure you have flushed all the old stuff out. Good luck with getting it resolved.

poor some alchohool in it. And don't use washer fluid. Man I can't believe they sell that ****. Get a little dawn soap (like a teaspoon) and put that in your container, then fill it 1/2 with water and 1/2 with rubbing alchohol. That should clean your windows verry well and it won't freeze unless it gets down to like -20. and if it does get that cold put more alchohol than water.

DONT PUT ANTI-FREEZE IN THERE!!!! Glycol is not for cleaning glass!

You can purchase fluid for extreme cold temps.

Wont the soap foam it all up? A teaspoon of dawn now cleans about 5,000 dishes, does't it? j/k Most washer fluid is just too inexpensive to mess with anything else.

Yeah no anti-freeze!

Use HEET if anything. It is methanol and is the ingredient in most washer fluids which keep it from freezing. The greater the methanol content, the lower the freezing point.

You can add a little methanol to get a more concentrated fluid the good stuff is about 33%. Don't buy the cheap stuff if you live in a cold climate.
