Help me decide!!

Hey guys, i may not be a guru but i have been around for a while, i need help. I just got a job that will alow me to buy a car in the 20,000 range, my top picks are the evo of course(03-04), VW R32, and the 350Z, i love evo's and many kno i have wanted one for a while, my dad had one for a bit bit but i rarely touched the wheel, i am so torn, i love everything bout the evo, yet i love hot hatches(hence my first car, 03 SVT focus) and german cars, and im in to the whole goin sideways seen, im goin crazy trying to pick, i need you to persuade me to buy an evo, i kno every thing about them, im a walkin owners manual, tell me why you picked it over other cars, and the biggest reason you like it the most, thanks guys.

Chris

also im a huge autocrosser and lap day guy, i also race karts, im pretty good in just about anything i drive, and im used to all 3 platforms(fwd, rwd, awd) i just can't decide.

Evo IX or WRX TR. I would hesitate buying a used evo though, as many of them are used nearly every weekend for things like Auto-X or have a clutch/tranny that is about to go out. I really want an Evo IX but I'm still in high school and can't afford one. I want to get one during college, but it would be tough to work enough to finance an evo plus have enough time to study.

I looked on autortader, you can get a 2.5L WRX w/ 8k miles for 22k, wow there is even one with 1.6k miles for only 18.6 tho.

im not into the suby world(I wanna go fast) no offense, lol, im fresh outta highschool and i dont start school till fall so im gonna pay this sucker off as much as i can so i will be able to afford it through school, i can fix broken stuff, that dont matter so much, i know how used cars are. i am also aware of the evo's amazing make-you-crap-your-pants track ability, i just cant find anything overwhelming to pull me to the evo over the others besides the whole insurance is 35 an month cheaper deal even tho its still 325 full coverage(18 y.o., 5 moving violations, r.i.p. focus, all in 1.5 years) i just need owner opinions to help me decide, thanks again.

You don't think Subies go fast? Look how much 2k worth of parts has done to David's subie. If you buy a WRX you will get one with much less miles then the evo, and the chances that it wasn't abuses is higher.

I'm not trying to tell you not to get an evo, I want one too just saying you should at least look at the scooby.

I'm in highschool and I have a nice car.

If I were you...I would save up as much as you can while not in school...then use that money to put a huge down payment on a new Evo. I just saved enough money and put a pretty good/ehh down payment and I got myself a SE. It's worth it in the long run if you get a new car.

my dad may have co-signed the car, but I'm paying everything out of my pocket. Car payment and insurance...mods...and I do the fixes myself. So I dont see how that is a problem. Even if your right out of high school and even some people in mid collage...it's smart to have a co-signer...it never hurt anyone to save money right?
