everything's fine for me...except for the cruise control

 

The only thing I don't like since I DD my car is that the center console doesn't come up enough to rest my elbow on it.

Other than that, the car is EXACTLY what I expected from an EVO. I didn't buy the car for luxury, I bought it for speed. The car does exactly that. What other car cuts through air like butter at over 100mph right out of the box?

 

so far with only ~700miles on it i only hate the squeewky noises the brembos make at really slow (coming to a stop) speed...

 

Love the car, hate the stupid fckin people it seems to attract.

 

oh yeah thats another thing i dont like, it has gotten to the point of hating tho lol

 

Chipping paint off calipers, and the ****ty shifting. it's way more notchy than I'd like it to be.

I have to agree, 30,000 grand, when one buys a car that is 30k that means you got top notch stuff not a toyota corrola for 12,000

now on the other hand i understand that the money-efforts from the mitsu designers went into drivetrain powerplant ect...
but they forgot about the inside

BMW - 50 grand from front bumper to rear bumper
EVO - 37 grand. 30 of that is in engine, drivetrain, ACD and performance awesomeness. 7 grand went into the interior, paint and trim.

I didn't really want a luxury car though. And to be honest, the thought had past my mind to get a bit of both worlds by paying less for a used M3. But I have my Evo NEW!!! and I mean 2 miles to drive it off the assembly line new. Every thing listed as a minor flaw.. I totaly agree with. My friends Mazda 3 has a sound system that kicks mine in the thin paint coated ***! But I have something he doesnt. WHen I park my car, go in the house.. I look out the window, see that car sitting there.. didn't even cool down yet.. and Im' already missing the drive. Would I ask (mitsu) to change anything about the car for the money I'm getting? I'd be afraid to. I know they are a company trying to make a profit just like anyone else... so if they started upping the interior, it would probably be at the cost of some of our great performance. I don't want a comfy interior that badly. To me, the Evo is thee most well balanced performance car i've ever had the pleasure of dealing with... And the mods? yes they cost, but so does any mod, but the Evo.. holy potential Batman!! this car takes to mods like a fish to water.

well since i recently sold mine (nothing wrong with the car just needed to have no bills for a while and get my life back together)

1. The trunk, mainly the back seats didnt fold down. Hell even my old c320 mercedes seats folded down

2. A/C system sucked badly, before i moved to hawaii i drove the car across country twice, if i didnt have it on full blast i was sweating

3. Warranty, my car was stock and i still was hastled about anything.

4. window motors

5. for some reason my rear view mirror fogged all the time?

6. for 30k+ i think it should have had higher quality paint and interior panels. dont get me wrong i loved my seats and steering wheel but everything else felt cheap. my center console pad was flat right off the bat.

 

I hate that my rocket (my Evo) doesn't have landing gear or wings.

I hate that I can't sleep in it comfortably (my legs fall asleep before I do.)

Has anyone mentioned the Altezzas, interior quality, or money spent on mods yet?

 

this is a good thread, as a potential buyer, at least I know what to expect

I guess that's why they say an STi is the better DD since it has CC, 6 spd, better interior lighting, better A/C controls, better radio, etc....too bad they don't look as nice as the evos, not to mention mod potential, and handling.
