Man so many complaints. Way I look at it, there's only so much you can stuff in a car for 30k. I made the conscious decision that my $$$ were going to performance and looks first and foremost, so the absence of any creature-comfort type thing doesn't bother me.
If you want a car that has all the luxury appointments of an Acrua TL and all the performance of an Evo, then you need to pony up an extra 20k and buy an Audi S4 or a BMW M3. Me, I didn't have an extra 20k, and I chose to go fast.
As far as what I don't like about the Evo? Not much. I actually think the A/C is pretty cool (HA!) even. If I had to find fault, yeah the tranny is a little touchy and doesn't always go into gear like I want. And I know this is a creature comfort, but I really could have used a cruise control. That's pretty much it. I personally love the ride, rough as it is. It's at least positive, and not so rough that you feel like the darn thing is shaking apart.
I also find the fuel economy pretty good although I do have a Vishnu ECU flash which I have heard rumors improves that. Under highway conditions I get upwards of 25 mpg.

They way vendors think that they can just jack the prices of parts/services because it is an Evo. If I still have my 2G AWD I would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo much faster and much richer too.
Parts are just too much so I don't even bother with my 100% Stock IX, and then the install and THEN the cost of tuning and then if your motor goes pop the tuner refuses to take responsibility. It's all just to get your cash.

- No turning radius (It's a Mitsu thing since my Eclipse doesn't either)
- No cruise control
- Seats are hard to adjust with that stupid knob that is tough to get to
- No fold down rear seats
- P0300 code (yes, I have an 03'!)
- Altezza tail lights
- Brembo brakes makes noise going in reverse
- Dash light already went out w/only 37K miles on the car (can't see my fuel or temp gauges at night!)
- Shifting could be alot smoother
- Yes, it's a sports/rally car, but should have more luxuries for a $35K average price tag!
And sure...I still love my car!

I dont have 10 and the positives far outweigh my gripes but they
1. Cheap paint, chips and scratches easily. Glass chips and cracks easily as well but maybe it's "super light" or something.
2. Interior scratches way too easily (my 2yr and 4y old have destroyed the seat backs of the Recaros). At least the seat cloth is forgiving.
3. Turning radius (although I'm used to it).
4. High Insurance
5. Parking concerns, theft-vandalism-doordings

2. wish it came with a boost gauge
thats all I got, I bought mine used came with security system, infinity sound, tinted windows, and premier deck. I like the interior just need to get some gauges in there.
