10 things you dislike on your Evo?
8. Paint. As most of you know already, the paint on this car is not something to rave about. It seems very thin. Washing the car & getting certain marks out seems like a mission
That one gets to me the most.... im just waiting for the rock chips!

Gearing gearing gearing maybe fine for stock but can't wait for IX/VIII combo gears and a 4.11
and maybe the stock shocks but that can be easily fixed...hell where else can I have supercar speed and handling for less than 40K I Love my Evo!!!!!!

gearing, a sixth gear, wish i had auto up windows, i think the gas mileage could be better for what it is.. gti's get 30mpg, the new s4 gets like 29mpg on the highway with a supercharged 6 cyl..
i seriously cant think of much else. i installed a navi with the orbital hvac, getting a rear diff upgrade put in soon, umm.. i wish parts were cheaper.. i love the rear seat leg room.. it's huge, like 36 inches or something?

Hey everyone.
Ever wonder about those tiny inconveniences about your Evo. The small couple flaws that Mitsubishi overlooked when designing this almost perfect machine they call the Evolution?
Well, the other night I was thinking about them while waiting for my car to warm up and was wondering what everyone else on here thinks.
Here goes a list of what "I believe" Mitsubishi should've fixed/changed before the car ever hit the showroom floor:
1. Express Windows. The car only comes with one-touch down express for the driver's side window. Why not express up and down on ALL four windows? I mean c'mon Mitubishi. Would it cost you THAT much to include that in? It's a $37K car(MR) for crying outloud.
2. Clock. If the sun is out, so is the time.
3. Onboard display. All it shows is your Odometer & Trip. It would be really useful if they included MPG & Range. Then again, I might not want to know my MPG with the mileage im currently getting.
4. Carbon Fiber. On a car like this, they should've used "real" carbon fiber atleast on the dash, E-brake lever, & shift knob.
5. Climate system. Comparing it to the JDM version, the one they sent over for us Americans seems primitive. From the "Auto" feature to the actual look(nobs) of it, the JDM system looks alot better. Our version looks like they got it from a Second-Gen Eclipse extra parts bin over at the plant. Speaking of Eclipse, anyone see the climate system on the new one? Keep in mind how much MORE the Evolution costs, it just doesn't make sense. Why put an inferior part on the superior sports car? Anyway, moving on.
6. Boost Gauge. (Mitsu gauge kit). It would've been nice if it read PSI instead of Bar. Would just be alot easier for some of use.
7. Sun Visor. I think this is the only car currently in production in the 21st century that doesn't have lights around the sun visor's mirrors. Not a big deal but you know.
8. Paint. As most of you know already, the paint on this car is not something to rave about. It seems very thin. Washing the car & getting certain marks out seems like a mission.
9. Brembo Brakes. The brakes are wonderful and you could'nt ask for anything better, but it's really annoying when you get a rock in your Caliper and it starts making that really loud squeeking noise. There must've been a way to avoid this? Maybe a stone-guard type thing?
10. Audio System. The stock audio system on the car pretty much stinks. Mitusibishi could've made it Sirius/Xm compatible or MP3 CD playable atleast.
Anyway those are ten flaws or inconveniences IMO that the Evolution has. Did they prevent me from getting the car? Hell no
I still think it's one of the greatest cars you can buy under $50K. It's the only one that is capable of putting a smile on your face every time you drive it, no matter how long for.

my evo 7 drops all 4 windows one-touch

I haven't had my Evo for long, I just recently bought it from my brother. I don't know if I have 10 things I dislike about here but these are what I could think of.
1) Insurance price: Why does it cost twice as much as what I use to pay for my Audi S4? Maybe higher rates of wrecks or thefts, but it's annoying
2) Altezza lights: I need to change these first
3) Climate Control: Feels cheap like a '90s style econobox
4) Where the wing is mounted to the trunk has some corrosion
5) Everyone wants to race you
The things I do like about it over my old S4
1) Handling: Even though both cars are AWD the steering response is much better in the Evo and it feels like it grips better.
2) Easier to work on: Doing anything to the Bi-turbo in the S4 was a pain in the ***.
4) Performance parts are less expensive
5) The acceleration feels better in the Evo. My S4 didn't feel like it would pull hard until you were already rolling in 2nd or 3rd gear. This is not the case for heavily modded S4's but mine was close to stock.
