10 things you dislike on your Evo?
So far the only thing thatt erks me about my Evo is the turning radius. But hey its a rally car. All the other **** comes with the territory of buying a hot sports compact car.. as biggie smalls would say "quit your bloodclot crying" we all knew what we were getting into buying these cars. What we need to start doing is start looking at other cars that have worse stupid problems and comparing to our evos.
1. A better interior like the STI. More vibrant flashy look.
2. that cruise control, i love to travel
3. i hear about paint coming off....thats not cool
but thats why ima have 2 cars
Fun/dream car = Evo 9
DD/economical = Turbo Civic ep3
Cant go wrong!

You are all crazy complaining about the turn radius.
On my mustang board I was complimenting this car's radius! Try driving a Cobra for awhile (poor mustang turning radius FURTHER reduced by 30%).
My Cobra needed about 3 lanes to do a U-Turn and even then you *barely* would clear the other side curb, so usually I would u-turn near an entrance.
Complaints for me include...
* Notchy shifting (probably need bushings)
* High revs for the highway. We do 85-90mph every day here in Michigan during morning rush hour. We keep voting down our police force so they are busy with real crime and with their limited numbers, traffic has been wonderful!
* Attention with the wing, finally had to remove mine.
* Transverse layout sucks IMHO.
* Annoyed that I downsized from a 32 valve V8 and hated buying extra lifters, valves, cams, etc. Yet 16 valves cost the same as 32 did, as well as forged internals for 4 cyl, near the same cost as forged internals for the V8. Dumb.
Otherwise I'm still in love and not really missing the Cobra much at all.

It's interesting to watch this thread evolve (no pun intended). We started with many original owners, folks who consciously plunked down thirty five grand on the (arguably) biggest automotive bargain of our era. Those folks knew what they were getting into and many of their comments reflect the notion. Today we have 3rd, 4th, and 5th owners many of whom bought abused, bastardized examples of the breed, and who would have never paid the entrance fee for this machine brand new. As such, their comments reflect a different ideal. Can't wait to see what the next few years will bring.
1. Too fast and fun to drive = bigger chance of tickets
2. Turbo spools up at 3k so I dont want to shift until 6k and in result kills too much gas
3. Smoke too much ricers and muscle everyday
4. Gets my hot female passengers panties wet, so I have to drop them and taste it5. Crap stereo looks like it is made in the 70s
6. Wheel paint is coming off
7. Higher maintenance than NA cars
8. Squeaky brakes
9. Cheap paint
10. Makes me want to spend money because it is too fun to mod

After paying 31k for this car, I feel I have MORE of a "right" to complain than 2nd hand people.Any who, I do agree, some of these 2nd hand+ owners have problems that I have NEVER heard of or even came across. Gas door? Codes? Sounds like people went "mod crazy" and messed up some good cars.
