meh. SCC is the only mag i think is WORSE than Car&driver

 

SCC is Motor Trend for sport compacts........I have read both for years....I am done with SCC....I think this rag has gone done the toilet.....USCC was a snore this year.......

Give me: Import Tuner, Modified Mag, Super Street, DSport any day over SCC...these mags covers EVO's great and on a regular basis!

I get all primedia magazines for free because I have a hook up within the company =)

Otherwise I probably wouldn't read them =)

 

Car mags in my order of good to bad.. or at least the ones that matter..

Modified - D Sport - Turbo - Automobile - SCC - Import Tuner - Super Street

After Automobile, I really could care less about the others. Especially Super Street,

definatly the worst of all the import mags..

And yes I know Automobile is not an import mag.. but it's way better than Motor Trend, Car and Driver etc..

 

i usually don't buy SCC magazine cause its usually boring and hardly feature an evo, but if they featured 3 evos i have to go an pick it up....thanks for the into BTW .

There is something about Evo in every issue

 

I dont get SCC obviously because I have a Mustang, but I had to pick up the Evo Orgy mag.

I used to get Super Street back when I had my civic because they always had really nice modded cars and a lot of Japanese tuners. As time went on, they got worse and worse and eventually turned into a complete waste of money and paper.

 

you are right....i have every SCC, Dsport, and Turbo Mag from 2003 to present...

 

...And that's because they don't write about mustangs? They actually write a lot about JDM stuff and import scene, and you're right nothing about "american muscle", oh wait SRT-4 will pop up once in a while

 

I love reading about other evos...I subscribe to 3 mags and I personally dont think enough articles are done on evos but thats just cause I love em so much...lol

 

You guys are kidding me right? Super Street is the absolute worst. Never bothered looking at Dsport. Modified Mag and Import Tuner fall into the same level for me. SCC and Turbo are the best too me.

Reason why? They actually have real technical info! Just try to find a dyno chart in Super Street. They talk more about body kits than anything else.

In the last few issues of SCC, they've gone over the science between various damper designs, aerodynamics, testing of 3 different types of LSDs, etc. I guess if you don't like technical info, you won't like SCC or Turbo.

SCCs project cars that I remember: 300zx tt, 200sx se-r, sentra se-r, FD RX-7, a couple Miatas, Evo 8, Evo 9, STI, Focus SVT, SRT4, Scion Tc, Mini..... they just got a S2000, and they had a EG hatch way back. Yep, lots of Hondas!

SCC has been a great magazine. The articles are well writted and do not feature large gramatical errors like the Modified magazine I subscribe too also.

Furthermore I think SCC is in bed with Mitsu because they have so much EVO backing it is hard to not see them talking about an EVO. I find their articles very detailed and a good twist. They used to be Honda motivated but then came the WRX/EVO and things changed for this magazine.

The EVO is the benchmark car for all others in SCC...this has got to tell you something.
