I can not count all of the tickets I would have had if it was not for my Valentine One Radar detector. My guess is at least 1-2 per day. Current tickets = 0

none in the Evo thus far! I haven't even been pulled over yet... I guess the giant wing doesn't make up the difference between a silver Evo & a red fd.

One ticket, and I actually think I was the first to get a ticket in this beast.

If that were really something to party about, hell, why not

I don't think there is anything on the market today that truly protects against laser. My understanding of the laser guns is if that the only way your detector will work is if they are tagging another vehicle and your detector picks up some of the reflections. If they are aiming at your car, all the detector will tell you is that you're screwed.

0 so far, but I was pulled over once. This is funny I was pulled over without the officer even getting a radar. When he pulled me over he said he was driving on the highway at 65 and I passed him thinking he was at a stand still. I have a radar detector and nothing went off. So I asked him what speed I was going and he said he got nothing and let off with not even a warning

Nada, mostly due to the Passport 8500 than to my safe driving. Cops down here tend to leave their radar on, rather than instant-onning you, so I pick them up a mile or two away and am driving like a retiree by the time they are in sight.

They can help tremendously though. I have a rather cheap Cobra, known for pathetic laser detection really. I got a laser signal though once and slammed the brakes hard. I got lucky and only got a ticket at 80mph. In all honesty, I was going way too fast at a little over a hundred at night while a little rainy, but that was several years back, and I've smartened up.

Regardless, I was going to pick up my brother at the airport and running late as it way - he wouldn't have appreciated me taking a detour to jail or something.

because it shows the kind of people that are driving these cars... bragging about how many tickets you got, or how many you got out of...

Let's keep the speeding for the track people...

Don't think i'm some old fuddy duddy, cause i'm only 27... i guess i just keep the speed off the streets, at least not on the ones with any kind of traffic...
