Paint Protection Program??

I bought by car from south coast dealer with the “paint protection program” (Oh well….. don’t ask me why). What is this program exactly about? Is this program just like our warranty program is easy to get void? Anybody actually tried this program to remove scratch or heavy dirt? Thank you

warranty covers our paint already for whatever the number of miles specified (or 5 years, i don't remember what the manual says). any other paint or weather or underbody protection as they like to call it is a scam and just a way for them to get your hard earned money. sorry man, but you got ripped off. no special protection program is needed for paint. scratches are considered wear and tear. and yes, some mitsu dealers do honor paint warranty, as i'm getting a part of my hood repainted by dealer due to small blister of paint.

Why would you buy something that you don't even know what it does? I'd just use some really good wax for the car and get a clear bra for the front.

South Coast has a pretty good reputation around here it seems. Maybe they'll actually honor it.

I seriously doubt they are covering scratches/ paint chips with this program.
More like some kind of acid rain protection bs they are trying to sell you.

they tried to offer me the corrosion control module thing here when I bought mine for $300 that they will install when I bring the car back... I denied it... come to find out ... I opened up my hood one day and there it was... already chilling in there ... i dont know if it really works or not but it sure is hooked up and all...

If it's anything like the "Desert Protection Paint Package" we have here, all it entales is a reapplication of a special "paint protectant" every 6 months. No one EVER comes in for it after they buy it. It's essentially an off-brand wax, and it's PURE profit to the dealership.

Don't feel bad, you're definitely not the first person to buy it, and certainly won't be the last.

dont' laugh, it's a real thing. do a search on the forums about it. it uses electrodes to help slow down the rusting process. has to be always on - draining very small amount of current from the battery.

I purchase my Evo from S.Coast as well but I was not offered any additional add-ons.

The greater question is did you meet the ascetically pleasing finance manager

If not, go back
