I hate to say it but it's normal. My car had it since day one, not really a grind but more of a clunk while going into 3rd gear. and for those who are gonna ask no I dont abuse/I NEVER slam gears. Dealership replaced the sychros and it didnt' help too much. However after a year of driving the car you know the perfect shift points and i can now shift everyday without a single clunk

What's the fun when you can't shift down and go WOT once in awhile? I think the tranny shouldn't be grinding in the first place, or break that easily...

Did the dealership alleviate your grinding?

My third gear used to grind off and on but doing the little things like upgrading the motor mounts and shifter bushings, adjusting the clutch, and changing the fluid often helps a lot. It still grinds from time to time (not often at all) but usually it is because I don't shift at an optimal rpm. When I am pushing it, it never grinds.

Same thing here. 4th grinds if you shift it hard, but only if you shift it hard

you probably just didnt break in the car correctly dude. i broke mine in correctly and never had any problems. going into 5 at higher speeds would some times grind but it wasnt repetitive probably was a break in issue i would think.

yes, the grinding is unfortuante with our cars....the problem with my tranny is usually when i tend to be "easy" on it, usually 3rd gear.....when im wot...seems to shift the smoothest but then again i wasnt typically easy on the car during the break in period.....its a lotter with our tranny's....
