I didn't know it was going to be a dynapack, I thought you said it was going to be a DD dyno? Oh well doesn't really matter. Yeah he should be about a 320-340whp, maybe more or maybe less.

You see there is the difference, you made 305whp/300wtq on a dynapack, which is pretty good for a 05 VIII, it seems your pretty happy with the results. If he turns out to only make 305/300wtq also, he should be pretty disappointed and rightfully so.

And for the Torque hater it went peak 306-ish to 176ish at 6800rpms. the curve looks so dramatic due to the inflated numbers on the graph if it was 325down to 0the curve would be much less pronounced and drastic.

Dynapack dynos are erratic, the car probably doesn't lose that much power from 5k to redline.

Also, at altitude you can't push turbos out of their efficiency range as much as you could at sea level.

Nice numbers, but wish you could have gotten a better measurment of torque.

306hp at around 7000rpm.

I had peak torque about 3700rpm and it declined at a very gradual slope. Not nearly as dramatic as yours.
the torque drop is so dramatic because the numbers are really inflated and my hp falls on its face up top because i am at 5000 ft of altitude and the turbo cant push out enough because the air is too thin it is common up here just look at warrtalons results

Not very familiar with Dynapack, but that's a 65whp drop in less than a 2k rpm range.
What is your boost reading at 7000rpm's?
Plan on getting cams?
i am not sure to where the boost drops but yah next step is going to be cams, injectors, 20glt, p&c exhaust mani, o2 housing.

yah i thought it was a DD sorry for the confusion. i was really happy with 305whp and i agree his evo ix should make about 330whp

This is not true, the MR and the RS do not have the same turbo, The MR turbo has a different wheel

Hi everyone, just letting you know that i'm the one with the IX that will be compared to the VIII. I talked to the tuner yesterday and unforunately he will be out of town for the next two weeks. As soon as he gets back I will have my car tuned and dyno'd and will post the charts as soon as I get them.

i def. predict 320-340whp with your mods.....the altitude im not too familiar with but i dont see why you wont be ATLEAST 20whp higher than your friend with the 8

I believe the 5-speed RS comes with a 9.8T while the 6-speed RS comes with the 10.5T. The MR also has slightly different cams in addition to the HRA105-16G

That's 100% wrong. Please show me the source of your info.

That may be the case in Dubai (EDM or JDM Evos, I don't know) but it's absolutely not the case in the USDM.

Please people. Stop posting these things unless you're 100% sure it's accurate. It's bad enough when people on other message boards think the MR is faster than the other Evos, but on here? Come on.

The VIII numbers look good. The IX should come up with about 330 to 340.
