That may be the case in Dubai (EDM or JDM Evos, I don't know) but it's absolutely not the case in the USDM.

Please people. Stop posting these things unless you're 100% sure it's accurate. It's bad enough when people on other message boards think the MR is faster than the other Evos, but on here? Come on.

Weird.
All US mags tested the MR to be faster, both in the 1/4 mile and in the track.

This is the only article I can remember that put all three against each other...

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...er_comparison/

The MR had the quickest lap time but the RS was the quickest in the 1/4 mile. What magazine article are you thinking of?

Think about it if you know about Evo's you'll know that the MR has different coilovers(Billsteins)/springs and a six speed transmission as well as the MR has an aluminium roof. Buy the best motoring DVD and you'll understand. These things I have listed are the only changes over a regular 05 VIII.

The EVO IX GSR SE has an aluminum roof too.

yah i agree but that is what happens when living at 5000 ft altitude the turbo can't keep up because the air is too thin.

The MR was design to be the quickest around he track, but as far as power delivery the 3 EVOs are identical, RS is the fastest on the 1/4 due to 300 pounds wheight reduction.

Sorry to be ****, but the RS is only about 120lbs lighter than the heaviest Evo: a IX GSR with the SSL package. Here is how the vehicle curb weights break down for the IX trims...

RS: 3219lbs
GSR: 3263lbs
MR: 3285lbs
GSR w/SSL: 3338lbs
