so the MR is designed to be fastest around the track and the RS is designed to be a drag car?

I think it is more important to concentrate on USDM Evos since thats what these two cars are. To start talking about JDM/EDM, Dubai spec Evos is totally lame and offtopic IMO and just confuses the situation.

I agree. It seems most Evo owners from other countries are on Lancer register. EvoM is predominately US owners.

If the RS is lighter and still has the gsr suspension, the effect is similar in some ways as getting stiffer suspension.

1.) The RS is not 300lbs lighter
2.) The MR does not have the stiffest suspension
3.) The RS and GSR have the same suspension

True,

RS weigh advantage is only 66 lbs For 2006 and 68lbs for 2005

And the MR has the most confortable (soft) suspension!!!

if this matters.... my 04 rs with 1/4 tank of gas with me in it (200lbs) weighed in at 3190lbs. almost 3200. the rs came in a couple "jungle packages". power windows/locks, a/c, radio. you could have gotten it a few different ways. mine only has a/c. .02
