Basically the same reaction you're getting for those of us who are reading this and thinking "Why the hell would you even consider driving your car without the trunk in the first place."

If I were you I'd take the doors off too and tell them it's the CJ7 body kit for the Evo.

go to home depot and buy some plastic flat peices that are like 4x4 and cut it like your trunk and tape those sukers on. May work better than cardboard...if you drive a little fast of go on the free way....there goes cardboard.

What do I do for the week without the trunk? Any ideas on how to cover it or should I just not drive it? I would like to at least cover it so that my meth and pump isn't exposed to the air

Any insight would be great!

Thanks!

Have you considered talking to the person you're selling the wing to? Explain the situation and see if there's any way they could wait. Maybe they'll have a little sympathy.

Find a local guy who either swapped trunks, is selling his, or a totalled one- and try and borrow it for a week....or "rent it" if needed. It should be somewhat easy to find a local evo owner around you that might have a spare trunk or a weekend drag car - that you could talk to about lending you their trunk

go to lowe's or home depot and get some painters tarps and duct tape...i guess
shipping a trunk sounds like the toughest panel to send b/c of its shape...
question: how/who is handling the wrapping and shipping of the trunk (UPS store, yourself)?

Hah, just get some tape and garbage bags to cover up the drunk where the lid usually goes and wait for the new one. OR you just leave your car at home and take public transportation.
