Mini Battery kit question

I'm planning on some changes in my setup before I get tuned. I will be getting LICP definetly and I was also thinking about replacing fatory rubber hoses with the Samco ones. But on the other hand I tought about it and I found that for the price of the LICP and Samco hoses I could get the nice Nisei pipe setup since I heard a lot of good opinions about it. The only problem will be the mini battery kit, since I autox during the season my concern is the reliability of those mini battery kits. Would I experience any problems with it?? Second question is the reliability in the winter time, is it worth the effort?? Any suggestions and specifications welcome.

Get an Odyssey PC680 sealed battery and mod your tray or buy a mini battery kit from a vendor. They hold up just fine even in very cold weather. I made a kit here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=252855
And someone else is making one here

I've had the Buschur mini kit in my car and it's lasted some very cold winter days/nights just fine.

have you considered maybe relocating the battery to the trunk???

I did it and youd be suprise on how much room is freed up in the engine bay, plus you can choose exactly wheere you want to mount it in the trunk for optimum weight distribution if your that sereious about it...but maybe auto x has certain rules against it...i dunno

The PC 680 comes with a 2 year warranty from Odyssey. It is the battery you want to use and many other vendors use this as well. Other things to look for in a mini-battery kit is the quality of the tray. You want a tray that will pass your tech inspection and will keep your keep your battery snug and also be easy to install and bolt to the factory mounting locations. If you mount a battery in the trunk it must follow certain rules for mounting, venting, etc.

I encourage you to check out our Billet Mini-Battery Kit.
