Splitters for the dealer....
I should be trading in my Cobra this Sat. on a Rally Red Evo 8. They had a Tarmac Black Evo up there with the splitters on the front bumper and I thought it looked pretty good. Any of you all have them? Could you guys post some pics? Having pics of a red one would be great. They are basically selling the Evo for $1000 over sticker, but the $1000 goes to either the pit pass or some add ons like the brake ducts, splitters, gauges, and strut bars.
Thanks! Corey
Thanks! Corey
Take the $1,000 Pit Pass from them and then cancel it immediately to get a $950 refund. Or just tell them you're going to do that and ask for the Evo at MSRP. Or find a dealership willing to sell at a price under MSRP, there have to be some around at this point.
You must be buying from Swope. I couldn't get them to budge off of the add-ons either, so I bought elsewhere. Unfortunately there aren't many dealers around here with cars on the ground. 2 arrived in N. KY last week and were immediately snatched up by myself and StreetPowerEvo.
I would get the Pit Pass and then cancel it unless you really want the add-ons. You can get some REAL mods for that $950 then.
Also, you may want to call Performance Mitsu in the Kings Automall. Since they couldn't deliver my BBY, they offered me a Red, but I don't know where it was coming from. They are selling at sticker. If you call up there, talk to Tom.

Well, I was gonna say canards, but I figured everyone would know them as splitters. Anyways, how do you go about canceling the the Pit Pass? Is there a # to call or something?
The Evo that I'm getting doesn't have any add on it. Swope told me that they give the customer the shoice between the Pit Pass or some of the add ons. I would really like to do my oil changes myself being I'm gonna have a new garage to to it in and I could really care less about making the Advan's last as long as possible. Plus, it takes longer to drive to Swope than it would for me to rotate the tires myself. The sticker says $30,8XX because of the spoiler and the sunroof. Other than that, it's not marked up.

So they just cut you a check for $950? How long does it take to get it? Don't want to ask a bunch of questions, but I'm moving in my new house this Friday and there are still some things that are needed to be bought and that money could come in handy. I might just use it to buy a beater to drive back and forth to work.
