I bought a wrecked EVO IX :(
The guy that sol me my Lancer had chopped other Lancers to create this one. Their is a different door and also the emblem on the back had been improperly glued, leaving glue marks. The good thing about the deal was the price. only 4g's

+1 I agree. You can never just buy a used car without physically looking over it. If the car had that much damage to it, there is bound to be sounds of repair. I always look for frame damage on a used car (top to bottom). Any panels that don't quite line up, slightly off paint, usually there will signs somewhere. On top of that you should always check carfax. If you cannot find any signs of damage, there probably was no frame damage, and you should be happy with what you got. Go to an alignment shop and see what they have to say. If they are unable to get the suspension straight, that means something is tweaked. Sucks you got swindled, but you have to do your homework before you buy.
For all you people that is not trying to help and just bashing me get off this thread, youre not helping. And for the ones thats saying I should of have looked over the car, how could I the car was all the way down in Fl. All I could do was just ask them if the car has ever been in a wreck and what kind of shape it was in. And I did do a carfax and an auto check and NOTHING showed up at all, so to everyone that says I should of used carfax go f***ing carfax something yourself. Carfax sucks, nothing ever shows up on it. So thanks again to the people who are actually helping and for the ones thats not stay off this thread.

Just an FYI - I got hit, front right impact, by a tractor trailer cab. Long story short - it was low speed - no one was hurt, damage was minor. Rightside fender, light, rocker panel, wheel well, tie rod, control arm, shock, wheel+tire, new hood... paint match.
Everything else - untouched. motor, turbo, pipes/hoses, glass... all fine.
Bottom line? 14,000.
Getting the carfax history is good if the accident was reported, but double check any collisions.
See how willing your insurance company are with this - the dealership have an obligation to inform you. If they hid this information, even if you didn't ask - it could be negligence.

Got a brand bew evo IX se =)
Well guess what everyone, went to the dealership and raised hell. The owner of the dealership didnt like it very much though. I went up there and told them what my lawyer told me. I told them that they had to buy back my evo and do it the easy way instead of the hard way instead of going to court. Well he told me that they didnt have to do anything. Well then I got on the phone with my lawyer, the guy at the dealership told me to hang up and maybe we can work something out. He asked me if there was anything on their lot that I was interested in I told them no and that I wanted a brand new evo. Well to make a long story short they found me a brand new GG EVO IX SE in 30 min and went and got it, By the end of the day they had my nice shiny new SE waiting for me in the parking lot. Well I didnt have to pay anything extra for it. Basically I got a brand new Se for the price of my used wrecked one.($27,xxx) Oh yeah and for all the ones that were hating and bashing me on this thread HA HA HA to ya.
