I bought a wrecked EVO IX :(
quickly, do a search on carfax lawsuits. they just recently settled a major lawsuit due to fraud. the settlement is crap (a free carfax, or $20 off a professional inspection)
If you can still exempt yourself, you can sue for fradulence.
oops, didnt read far enough down to see that things were settled. hopefully this thread will be helpful for others though.

Well guess what everyone, went to the dealership and raised hell. The owner of the dealership didnt like it very much though. I went up there and told them what my lawyer told me. I told them that they had to buy back my evo and do it the easy way instead of the hard way instead of going to court. Well he told me that they didnt have to do anything. Well then I got on the phone with my lawyer, the guy at the dealership told me to hang up and maybe we can work something out. He asked me if there was anything on their lot that I was interested in I told them no and that I wanted a brand new evo. Well to make a long story short they found me a brand new GG EVO IX SE in 30 min and went and got it, By the end of the day they had my nice shiny new SE waiting for me in the parking lot. Well I didnt have to pay anything extra for it. Basically I got a brand new Se for the price of my used wrecked one.($27,xxx) Oh yeah and for all the ones that were hating and bashing me on this thread HA HA HA to ya.

Nice!
Makes me wonder if the carfax I pulled off my car is legit now. I got it with 4500 miles on it. Seems like the car is perfect, but might be a good idea to talk to my insurance company and see if they can find anything on the car.

For all you people that is not trying to help and just bashing me get off this thread, youre not helping. And for the ones thats saying I should of have looked over the car, how could I the car was all the way down in Fl. All I could do was just ask them if the car has ever been in a wreck and what kind of shape it was in. And I did do a carfax and an auto check and NOTHING showed up at all, so to everyone that says I should of used carfax go f***ing carfax something yourself. Carfax sucks, nothing ever shows up on it. So thanks again to the people who are actually helping and for the ones thats not stay off this thread.

carfaxes help... but the thing about them is they can be skewed... insurance or the body shop has to report it to carfax... a lot of times its "forgotten" I know thats waht they did wiht my evo for over 16K in damages... To this day it still has a clean sheet with carfax. sorry that happend to you. Best of luck!
