Glad to see it worked out for the best. I would still notify the BBB that there is some shady sh*t going on at that place.

quickly, do a search on carfax lawsuits. they just recently settled a major lawsuit due to fraud. the settlement is crap (a free carfax, or $20 off a professional inspection)

If you can still exempt yourself, you can sue for fradulence.

oops, didnt read far enough down to see that things were settled. hopefully this thread will be helpful for others though.

Kudos to you. You see it does pay to raise hell when people are trying to screw you over.

Nice!

Makes me wonder if the carfax I pulled off my car is legit now. I got it with 4500 miles on it. Seems like the car is perfect, but might be a good idea to talk to my insurance company and see if they can find anything on the car.

And I did do a carfax and an auto check and NOTHING showed up at all, so to everyone that says I should of used carfax go f***ing carfax something yourself. Carfax sucks, nothing ever shows up on it. So thanks again to the people who are actually helping and for the ones thats not stay off this thread.
I agree, carfax sucks, but you still have to look over a car before you buy it. Congrats on haggling your way to the new car! No one was bashing you on this thread, what we said is true and should be said so that others don't make the same mistake. If you had taken the time to visually inspect the car, you would have been able to tell it was wrecked.

carfaxes help... but the thing about them is they can be skewed... insurance or the body shop has to report it to carfax... a lot of times its "forgotten" I know thats waht they did wiht my evo for over 16K in damages... To this day it still has a clean sheet with carfax. sorry that happend to you. Best of luck!

Thats half the reason I went with a new car when buying an EVO... and because the APR was so much lower...
