I would have told him that you will pay for shipping and you need him to send over a cashier check and you will send it by UPS or FEDEX and you will cover the shipping but you need the money before you will rip things apart from your car. Its kinda hard to believe that he can spend $2200+ for part yet can't cover the cost of shipping. To me the guy sound like a flake and a dishonest person. People like that give the whole buying and selling things on the forums scary .

dang

What would jesus do?

Wrong of you to even suggest him paying for your fluids. Just keep the kit off and re-sell to another person. Gl

Never buy anything from a non-vendor in a forum. It's way too risky.

Wow. You really expect something from the guy; I think you are expecting too much out of people. Buyers come and go and are not committed to anything until money is put on the table. You should have required a non-refundable deposit to cover the time and fluids of pulling the turbo.
O well you live and learn.

Ive bought 5 thousand dollars plus worth of parts off of the forums and everybody has been honest and forthcoming when it came to payment, shipping, and everything else. I know this is not normal and that lots of people have troubles in dealing with things online but I have really appreciated the dealings with the people I have, and think it benefits everybody on here when we let each other know of deals gone sour.

These forums are a huge asset to evom, not only for exchanging parts but for information and many other assets some valuable some worthless and some priceless.

I know the world isn't perfect, evo's dont come with cruise control, but hell, I like it when things go as planned.

Scorke.....bro you just gotta be careful when selling parts to other members. Not everyone in this forum is going to be honest and be "a nice guy". Just can't trust people now a days and you gotta ask for money up front and have firm agreement. I guess that's just the salesman in me .

I agree that this forum is a huge asset to the Evo community. I know for the most part that people are honest, but it's just a statistical fact that you are more prone to getting scammed or have flakes on the internet. Everybody likes to have things go as planned, but it's unrealistic to expect that all the time. As you say the world is not perfect. Move on and deal with it.
