car stalling while driving

any idea what would have caused this?

i'm driving doing about 80mph on the highway, slow down to about 50mph getting off and off ramp, down shift to 4th and the car dies. i didn't notice until the power steering went off.

i had a cone intake with a mail-in flash and recently just upgraded to an AEM intake and a tbe with a hi flow cat, MR bov but no reflash. any idea why?

now anytime i'm going about 40mph to a stop real quick, the rev drops and sometime it'll stall and sometimes it'll sputter but recover.

weird.

did u put ur mr bov to recirc back into the intake?

Just check ur bov first, make sure it recircs n all the hoses/clamps are tight.

Intake is probably messing up the metered air readings across the MAS. Diverter valve is probably also hurting you because some of your metered air is getting diverted toward the MAS instead of back toward the turbo inlet. I'd also guess that you have your diverter valve installed backwards.

Mine did the same thing, and the cause was my bov that I had changed out. It would do it most if I was slowing down quickly at a light or stop sign. I ended up going aftermarket w/recirculation. Works fine now.

My car will stall if I am using a lot of throttle at low revs and I push in the clutch or do something that load is being pulled off the engine. It hiccup's real bad and will die. It's done it ever since I put an intake on, even with a flash. I'm just concious of it now so I automaticly blurp the gas so it doesn't die out.

i'm going to take a look at my Bov any chance i can get (it's been freezing outside). i originally thought that might have been the culprit but wasn't sure. i had the intake on before the Bov and it was fine so i don't think it's that.

thanks everyone.

yeah i made sure of that when i originally installed it. the one thing that was bothering me was the fitting of one of the hose. i felt that it went on too easy and wasn't as snug as i would like for it to be. when it gets warmer i'm going to take everything apart and reinstall it.

If the compressor bypass valve is installed correctly, then the only thing left is the intake itself. Your MAS readings are getting screwed up either by the filter making them turbulent or the hard pipe creating noise.

Aren't those AEM intakes known to cause problems like this?

did you check your battery?

You might wanna double check and make sure the connector is on there tight.
