Wing replacement. My GREAT experience
Wing replacement. My GREAT experience
So I was just curious how long people are waiting to get their wings replaced lately. I know a while back it took months. Well it only took me 12 days!!! I went in for my free scheduled maintenance on Friday, March 30th and while there I had them look at my wing. I got a call today around 10:00 am saying my wing was in and painted and ready to be mounted free of charge. That only took a week and a half!!! I am very happy about this. I hope the same situation happens if I need to get the Brembos replaced. They arent too bad yet but they are starting. Anyway, this was my experience and hopefully everyone is having good experiences with their warranty claims lately.

FOR A CHANGE

Oh yeah and while I was there 2 weeks ago and we had it on the lift with the oil drained, they let ME get up under there to install my Defi sending unit on my oil pump for the oil pressure gauge. No one said a thing and they didnt charge me a penny to use their lift! How many dealers are that cool???

When I had my spoiler replaced it took about 4 weeks. They tried to talk me into a Evo 9 spoiler and I told them no also. I wanted the one that came on my car. I don't like the look of the painted endplates. So I had to wait the extra time but it was well worth it IMO. Also responding to ONRAILS, I got them to replace my front Brembo's under warranty. I think I'm one of the only ones. I tried to get them to do the rears too but they said no. The dealer to me they got into trouble with Mitsu for doing the fronts. They said they are not replacing them anymore. That was one of my only positive experiences with the dealer, meaning the wing and front calipers.
I dont think he would post it if didnt happen. TURBevO8 is just one of the lucky ones who got hooked by their dealership.
The VIII wings are easier to come by then they once were. I think this is the biggest reason for the willingness to replace the wing with the stock VIII wing, and the fast turnaround.
