Trunk "Degreased"

Well I popped my truck today and a bottle of heavy duty degreaser had spilled all over the rear left of my trunk. Eating all the paint and seam sealer... needless to say I'm pretty pissed about it!

I put down some seam seal (the pictures were taken after I started cleaning all the degreaser, paint and seam sealer), and eventually I'll get some paint. I'm going to the mitsu body shop tomorrow to get all the clips I broke trying to get plastic carpeted stuff out. Hopefully while I'm there they're putting a base coat on a car so I can get it shot with something.

The stock crap stays greasy, but a good rubberized undercoating does dry nicely

Well if you wanted that I would have suggested truck bed liner

I've seen people use rhino lining or other similar linings inside their trunk before.

I'm sure it'll be a big deal when it starts rusting through.

yeah that's the deal... I don't want it rusting. I live in an area where they put salt down to any snow that falls to the ground.

That does suck man, at least you are already half way ready to start laying some paint or whatever down. LOL.

well, I got everything buttoned up.... the body shop didn't have the clips so I had to go to the parts counter and order them. $11.63 for 3 clips. I'm going to wait until it's less humid out to lay some primer and paint on the bare metal... but now I know how to get the damn clips out without breaking them.
