Question Help, noise from right rear wheel

Tonight I noticed a metal on metal screeching/scratching sound coming from my right rear wheel. I've got 28k miles on my 03, I checked the air pressure and that's fine, the noise is only when I'm driving, does not speed up or slow down depending on my speed, does not stop if I apply my brakes, and it does not matter if I'm on smooth road or a bumpy road. I thought it might be my brakes at first, but coming from just that side and not stopping when I apply the brake and still making the noise when they aren't applied I think I've ruled that out. Can anyone think of anything else that is back there that would make that sound?

it's the feeler, on your caliper, telling you it's time to change your pads.

Phew, thanks! I thought it might be something more serious. I figure it was about time my brakes were going to be due for a change, just thought it was weird that the rears would go before the front. Thanks again.

Yeah probably time for new pads. Other possibility is that the brake dust/heat shield is rubbing.

Take a look!
