too big of an intercooler? possible?

too big of an intercooler? possible?

Is it possible to have to big of an intercooler for ur present turbo setup?

Yes, but then it gives you an excuse to get a bigger turbo.

basically, what happens is that you will have pressure drop, and an increase in turbo lag. which is one of the reason that drag cars, sometimes don't even run an intercooler.

I have a stock turbo, w/ stock piping, only intake, and type s on the intake side. I also have a turboxs fmic, which, after installing, I had about a 2psi drop in pressure. I just upped the boost a hair, to bring it back into spec. the + side, is that this intercooler stays real cool, and fills up the front nice. the - side, is that it probably is 3 times the weight of the stock fmic easily.
