I never let anyone else drive my car, but I'm always happy to take people for a ride. I think its cool that people think of my car as an amusement park ride.

Ill let friends and family drive the car as long as they can drive stick and drive at their skill level. If they are a good driver and can push the car a bit without hurting it - I don't have a problem.

A few of my friends have driven it just once or twice. No one really asks anymore. The majority of my friends don't really even care about cars and couldnt care less to drive it.

Can't say I do feel the same, because no way in hell is anyone going to drive the car except me and my immediately family. I can 100% trust my brother/dad/mum to treat the car with the same respect that I do, so no worries there.

I let anyone drive it that I trust and that understands big boy toy rules. When you f*cck it up, you fix it... fast and with humillity and with as little inconvienence to the owner as possible. Not negotialble and shouldn't need to be discussed.

My friends have bikes, 4wheelers, boats jetskis, trucks , backhoes, whatever, cooler toys than an Evo, so it's a two way street. I want to mess with thier toys so I won't be a dick if they can drive.

My friends are scurred of it now though...

no one drives the evo but me. i have friends that have evo's and i dont let them drive mine b/c i know how they drive. also if something breaks they will not want to pay for it. if you do let them drive them make them go get gas every single time or just say no. i'd rather be an a$$hole with a car thats not broken, than a nice guy that has to shell out money b/c someone broke my car.

Apparently the people who have driven your car have absolute zero respect for you if they rail on it even after you tell them to stop, why keep the trend going?

Like others have said, I don't even let my wife drive it.

yea, i get that sometime too...like a taxicab. but the reason i give them is "my insurance is under my dad's and i cant risk it, if the insurance was under my name, you know ill let you drive it(no i wouldnt )"...and they are buying it every single time.

just an excuse.

If you don't trust them, don't let them drive it. That's it.

I used to let people drive my car.. close friends and family. Until someone was overly excited and tried to do a high rev launch. I have a whine in 1st gear now and NEVER again. No one wil ever drive my car. The dealership is right up the block, knock yourself out.
