The new Impreza looks absolutely horrible. Almost like a smaller Camry. The new STI will obviously look more aggressive but "attractive" and "aggressive" are two entirely different things. It's all yet to be seen, but a 3000lb STI hatch sounds a lot more "rally" to me than a 3500lb Evo X right now. Time will tell.

yea a 06 MR and the 6-speed feels like s.hit compared to my last car (mazdaspeed protege). I changed the tranny fluid 2 times with the mitsu diaqueen, and my car only have 11k miles. 2nd gear is so notchy feeling, just straight up hate the trans. the transfer case is starting to make the car chug when you start off in first. during clutch engaugemant only. ????? who knows

05 evo 8 owner here, im up to 23 thosand miles and some change. i must honestly tell you i have had thoughts of getting something else but who doesnt it? but when i take her out for a ride at night and just punch it or get onto the turnpike and i feel that untouchable feeling that changes my mind completely. i love this car and more then likely she will stay in family.

EXACTLY !!!

But... sometimes in my darkest "low-rpm torque" deprived moments, I find myself longing for a LS7. Check out the following link and tell me you heart does'nt skip a beat.

Apart from the looks, yes. BMW is going to have a huge hit on their hands.

Had an 03... Traded up for an '06 MR...

Buschur stage 1
Mellon tune
18,000 miles
Not 1 single problem, I love the 6 speed so much more than the 5... Smooth as butter

I wouldnt mind getting an STi... Maybe for a DD, but I'd NEVER trade the Evo

I would keep the Evo. I had some grinding too, but after 8K miles it stopped. Off the start it is quick if one knows how to drive standard. I don't launch so my clutch is good. But it sounds like your car has some problems. So it is not like new and repair free, then you may want to sell it. You may want something with a V8 or V10, more power, Automatic, but STI are good too, it's of course, you preference. Good luck! Remider more power = more fuel$

So, how many of you own Evos and are thinking of trading it in/selling it for an STi?

Feel free to try your best to talk me out of it...

my brother has a six speed 540i and loved it....until he drove my car. Seriously he is now selling it and getting an evo ix. They are great cars, the build quality, interior, v8 etc but once you feel that turbo...
