Did the same thing, mine look great now. It wasn't that hard at all for me, simply because my clearcoat on brembo's looked like crap already. Most of it fell of, I only sanded in couple places, most of it chipped off. I've got some high temp clear coat from Auto Zone and just put couple layers of clearcoat. Looks damn good, and after 7 month still no problem

for DIY people

The VHT flameproof coatings are really amazing. You can pick them up from Oriely's. If they don't have what you need in stock just get them to order it. Also the 2000 degree flameproof ceramic coatings are a do it yourselfer's dream come true Good job on the calipers man Heck, it may be a good idea to go ahead and use some of this clear on a set that aren't even peeling yet as a preventative measure.

This is the clear (SATIN) finish?

I can't seem to find a glossy clear.

im doing the other caliper right now, one other thing i forgot to ad is clean the brakes really good. i used carb cleaner and got alot of brake dust off, then i cleaned them with soapy water about 3 times, dried it completely.

This paint is not solvent resistant until it is cured. so you must either have a heat gun or bake them. Im sure once driving they will heat up and help a bit, but the paint will stay a bit soft until cured.

looks like you did a good job. I wonder if that paint would cover 220-320 grit paper so its now so much work striping the old paint off.

so if i read it already i forgot....
what grit did you use 400?

and did you do all the caliper or just the front (visible sides)?

also when going over the "brembo" did you get it real good or just scuff? is it a decal under the paint or is it white paint on the red?

im going to do this soon just got back from O'reillys (ordered the SP-115 1200 DEG clear.

Thanks
