When I got my car in December I purchached lojack and about a month went by and I never got it put in. I called my dealership where I bought the car and they said its been to long and that I cant do it so somehow im out of 800 dollars. Its been on my mind and I could do a lot with that 800 if they dont put it in. Is it just me or is somebody getting F@*Ked and they are just being a crappy dealership? Any suggestions?

Do you have a contract? Does it say in there if it needs to be installed my XX date? If not then there trying to pull one over on you

 

I would ask to talk to the general manager of the dealership and talk to him. If he won't do anything, tell him that you are reporting them to the BBB and file a small claims suit against them. It will be more of a pain in their butts then giving you the $800!

They're bending you over with no vaseline. Just make sure you have in writing (one of those "we owe you" slips or something similar) that you purchased and they were to install it. If you've got that, your case is foolproof. Good luck with this and let us know what happens.

 

Even worse that Lojack only charges a dealer 295.

Well when I was working for the Mitsu dealership at the time, the service guy came up to me one day and saw my lojack was never put in asked the boss and he said its too late or something like that. I dont wanna say what dealership it was because its a reputable one but I think you all know what one it is

 

Did you get a "we owe you form"?

 

is it written in your sales contract, purchase order or receipt that the $800 is for a lojack? if not then it is your word against his. if it is clearly written, then I don't see any reason why they will install it.

 

When you got it did they say that they would install or would lojack come out and do it? cause when i got mine installed lojack came to my house and did it. contact lojack about your situation.
