Evomoto Diy Egt Install
Hello people, tomorrow I'm planning to go for the DIY installing the EGT, just wanted to know anyore here (wish I think) has done it..
and if there any tip for instance or something that I should be awere of it.

I have to be honest I'm just scare that a piece of metal actually fells into the pipe and the goes inside the turbo

^^^^^ +1 That's how I did it. Followed evomoto's directions, and it worked for me.
Just use plenty of oil while drilling, and take your time once you get ready to break through.
The exhaust will blow all the shavings out.
BTW - wear gloves - those little shavings get hot...

DO NOT WEAR LATEX GLOVES
no doubt, drilled & tapped countless DSMs this way in the past. I just checked out the evomoto write up & it is a really good write up. Unless you want to take the time to take the manifold off..... just drill/tap it.

/\ /\ /\ safest & most time consuming method hands down. If you have the time take the manifold off & why not port it while you have it off.
I guess I was just very lucky in the many installs that I have done over the last 10 or so years without even the slightest issue. So were the countless others who have drilled at idle slowly & cautiously.
Either way that you do it..... take your time.
