Help reading EGT guage!!
i just installed my EGT guage....anybody can help me with reading it?...what should it be at normally?...any help would be great....thanks...wayne...www.pulpracing.com
I am not sure, but I have a friend who can help. He has a wide-band and an EGT. I don't know why folks go with the EGT, no offense, because good widebands are so cheap now. I will get an email off, and let you know.

The problem with trying to compare numbers on an EGT is that the temps will vary depening on where the thermocuple is located, brand, quality.
What I have always done is take readings on the EGT with the car stock and then use that reference to make sure I'm not getting too hot as the power comes up.

If your probe is after the turbo, it sounds a little hot.
