I am not sure, but I have a friend who can help. He has a wide-band and an EGT. I don't know why folks go with the EGT, no offense, because good widebands are so cheap now. I will get an email off, and let you know.

The problem with trying to compare numbers on an EGT is that the temps will vary depening on where the thermocuple is located, brand, quality.

What I have always done is take readings on the EGT with the car stock and then use that reference to make sure I'm not getting too hot as the power comes up.

What type of readings are you getting from what speeds, accelerations, rpm, etc?

racer - F or C?

it depends on where you installed the probe. If your off runner #1 on the exhaust manifold, it sounds about right.

If your probe is after the turbo, it sounds a little hot.

its located in #2 (passenger side)..bout 2.5 to 3 inchs from the block...its in F not C....the probe may not be 1/3 in like the instructions say...don't know if that effects the readings at all....i'm not sure what speeds but i'm not redlining it...thanks guys for your help
