I dont know wouldnt a clucth job cost about the same if alittle bit more.
I think i payed 1400 to get my clutch replace, dont they have to remove the tranny for that, plus put in a new clucth about 400$ flywheel about 250$? I cant see the tranny rebuild being around $3000, but again i dont know,
the only problem is i dont have the tool and the know how to remove the tranny myself, Im sure ill figure it out and might take me all day with some help.
but how do you ship something so heavy, I need to search for the shep tranny thread and see . I need to check my locale forum see if any shop wants to do it.
I know the dealership charge a arm and leg for it. Argg what to do?

You remove the tranny and shep will ship you a box with custom packing. All you have to do is empty the tranny and place it in the box and call for the pick up. Easy as apple pie. There are "how-to's" on here that will walk you through the process of taking out and installing the tranny. Believe me you'll save loads of money this way and get a better tranny out of it. The stealership will rape you.

Thanks guys for all the great Info, I took it to the Dealership here in MN
They wanted $3,300 plus tax and shop supply 1800 was for R&R alone the rest is parts.

Or Have them replace it with a brand new one for $3752.00 plus Tax and shop supply.

So i guess Shep is where im going to send it then. Im going to try to search for the how to do it yourself, But if someone has a link to it that would be great to

Thanks Agian guys for all the great Info, This should save me a months paycheck

Warranty for the Tranny? No dealership is going to warranty that. Plus at most they might give you 1 year warranty. Remember as i posted befor, my car is allmost 90k mile. Plus i have Mods. Plus losy my trust with Warranty, when i had to get my clutch replace at 8K mile and they said its my fault. But somehow my aftermarket cluth last up until today and still going strong.

At the price the dealership wants for it, 3750 plus tax and stuff its over 4k
thats is 4 shep rebuilds.. Plus this will give me a change to really look into my car more by doing it myself.. Plus insurance tp park it is only $11.00 a month full covrage
