Add-a-fuse link from pepboys or autozone plugs into a socket for an existing 12v fuse and replaces that fuse while adding a fused hot wire to connect to. Ask at the parts counter for one for mini fuses

did the same thing for mine today, the gauge works well, needed to zip tie multiple times, i ended up using 4 zip ties to hold the boost hose on the tee, i had 2 or 3 on and at 23lbs it was flying off

i just installed my electronic Boost gauge last night, it was my first wiring DIY too. very easy i just tap in to the digital clock harness. it's got all the wire you need to hook it up.
i used to have a AM boost gauge, i think it only have 2 wire. the ign, and the light. but i didn't install that.
