So I was going to pick up the evo today...2006 IX Electric Blue SSL. But we drove it one more time and we noticed a slight whirring-whiney noise when the clutch was engaged. When you push in the pedal though it disappears, we are thinking it might be the bearing. So the guy is taking it to the dealer on Monday to get it all fixxed up for us. getting it for 26k with 17k miles. It also has these crappy rotors on it that pull to the right when breaking, but I will prolly just put the OEM ones on myself.
Basically, I just wanted to make sure that the whirring isn't too huge of a problem (fingers crossed/knock on wood) and hopefully on Monday I will post up pictures of the sexiness.
edit: crap i forgot to put this in noobie section... Sorry

Mine has always done it as well.
So this is what you do. When he gets it back from the dealer, go there and tell him that it's still not "normal" and offer him $2K less because you'll probably have to replace the clutch soon.

One thing to check with the brakes is that uneven tire pressures, alignment, or a crowned road can all make the car pull to one side under braking. I would check these first before worrying about replacing the rotors. . .
Congrats on the new car!

I second that. IF that doesn't go through. I"d say spend a few grand extra and get a brand new IX.
