Does this use stock holes on the trunk (Type C)?

No, with the stock wing and VG you should get BETTER gas mielage than if you don't have it because your DECREASING lift below the spoiler and decreasing the size of a low pressure pocket behind the rear winshield.

I agree with you that VG + Wingless would give the best gas mielage, just not your reasoning for it.

Gas mileage gains of a VG + stock wing are minimal. Should improve slightly without the wing, since you're getting rid of some drag. My earlier comment was in reference to adding a rear undertray (diffuser). At the speeds the OP is driving, it should make a noticeable difference, since the stock rear bumper is like a parachute...

As far as downforce at high speeds with the stock wing I call BS. I have been driving wingless (while I was waiting for my rexpseed type C) for a little over a week, took it up to 100-140 and the car felt as planted as with the wing. I DO have a VG. Don't know if that is what is making the difference.

I, like many, have read that the car wingless is "squirrely" at high speeds. I didn't feel any of that.

RS owners need to chime in since they are wingless from the get go.

aren't you INCREASING the downforce and thus the traction on the rear tires and the friction between the tires and the road, causing the car to exert extra effort (even minimally/negligibly) to overcome that friction increase?

Thank you for the pics of this wing. I have been looking for a lip wing for months. my wife will not drive my car cause of the wing blocking her view.

I took my wing off since day one, and have been over 120mph with no problems.. this was on a straightaway and not a sweeping turn.. so this could be the case.

i do think the rear end is a bit light and would have the ability to get a bit squirrelly depending on the circumstances
