Twin Scroll; Making all Existing Turbo Kits Obsolete?
You guys are forgetting the torque spike that will be presentwith a Stock turbo and absent especially on a turbo as large as the 40R. You will not have 100% stock like spoolup, I mean a Modded IX is fully spooled MUCH MUCH faster then 3500, don't forget, many people get them into the 2900's or less.

To get a long rod 2.4 you need to have a 100mm crank, 156mm rods, and "stroker" pistons 60 over standard bore (4g63 pistons) in a 4g64 block.
To get a long rod 2.1 you use a 88mm crank, 162mm rods and again the "stroker" pistons 60 over standard bore in a 4g64 block.
I'm putting all this out there for information only, I'm not try to call out anyone or pull a "mighter than thou" on anyone, except maybe "shortbus" aka High_Psi.
yup...that would be it...and you can go even longer on the rod ratio too...by about another 6mm is you really wanted
just to let you know the BC 2.4 and skyline have nearly identical rod ratios
First of all, every car and setup is different so you should only take what people say for numbers concerning boost versus RPM with a grain of salt. Second, I don't think a 3071R is a good match for the 2.3L. The 3071R isn't THAT much bigger than the even stock turbo. It would already spool so quickly on just the stock 2.0. Also, the 3071R would probably surge with a 2.3L. Buschur has said in the past the 20G-LT isn't a good match for a 2.3L, probably for the same reason. Although not the same turbo, the 3071 isn't much bigger. Hell, I'd bet the 20G-LT flows more lb/min than a 3071R.

Well since a 50trim flows a little more than the green...and I believe the 50trim flows more than the 3071 I think, based on others results, that they should be pretty close. I would take the green over a 3071.
On a Low Compression/displacement motor such as the 4G63, the bulk of the torque comes 100% uniform to the boost and the onset of boost. A modified stock turbo Evo, especially pre-MIVEC would have torque spikes basically coming from almost nothing to 350+ Foot pounds. Buschur showed a MASSIVE torque spike with his FP Green turbo hitting over 400 FP's and spiking the turbo to get it done. If a turbo spools more gradually and linear like a 35R + the Torque is more progressive and won't spike. It rolls on and climbs until the Turbo cannot support anymore and gradually falls off.
Generally, That point at which the turbo is fully spooled is the peak torque.
