Try not to take it personally, it's just doesn't seem like Birkenstocks and Recaros go together.

I am not getting in the TP and HFC debate, I have had both and prefer the HFC for a few reasons, if it was a track only car then I may have a different oppinion, but its not, its a daily driver and a baby hauler. Ok so I just got into it...

I have read this whole thread and I am not even getting into the debate with my oppinion but I do have one question after reading MNAY post similar to the above:

Why does it have to be black and white? Why can't someone "do their part" but still enjoy life and their toys?

It is not far away, its all politics and $$.

Ethanol is a stupid solution IMO. Doesnt it still pollute and produce less energy?

if i'm right, the E85 is equal to 115 octain gasoline...
or very close. So basicly you are running on race gas...less knocking = safe higher boost = more whp...halleluja

Yes but it's a renewable energy source...

What you think Hydrogen gas has less octane rating? Wrong.

Hydrogen carries more energy than gasoline and e85. So Hydrogen will make more power at any rpm or psi.

And what hydrogen isnt?

You take water, extract hydrogen from H20 then you burn it with o2. Emissions produced is steam (water vapor). Thats a true renewable and reusable resource.

You cant take the burnt gas from e85 and grow corn with it can you? Plus the emissions from e85 is equally as bad as the emissions from gasoline. So what is so environmental friendly about that? What happens when you have a hurricane, bad weather, bad soil to grow corn or what ever it takes to make e85?

Lol...I was comparing it to gasoline, I don't need a lesson, I just misread.

I'm well aware of the capabilities of hydrogen, and I heard the main issue with it is building hydrogen stations to refill at. Although I have heard there are a few being built in cali.

Also when I say renewable energy I meant you can grow more corn, not use burnt gas to grow it...while oil is a non-renewable energy source. You are proving my point about what I was getting at when it comes to pollution...yes it will pollute as much, but I was saying it is renewable while oil is not...

I agree about hydrogen, stop jumping on me...I was talking about gasoline to E85.

for you

LOL i didnt mean to jump on you, just discussing.

So Cali will be building? Interesting....

I know one of the bad parts of Hydrogen as fuel is the extraction process. It costs alot to extract hydrogen from water. But they do have a solution, and thats solar power. Also they want to have it where extractions will be done right at the gas station.

Since we're on topic, how much quieter is hfc vs resonated test pipe?

i was compare it to the gasoline too...since we are using that.
and to keep it real, it will happen the E85 . Not so much in the near future the Hidrogen.

So based on you theory the best would be the sun energy.
the electric Evo... Wich is do exists in prototype format.

But we talking about test pipe vs HFC.

Its slightly quieter, but the resonated TP sounds 10X better and has a more muscular sound

i used both. for me sounds the same. I had the vibrant perfomance HFC. Its a great unit b. Then i got the Perrin test pipe. Made it loud! Now i got the E-bay resonated test pipe. Its quiet again.

in scandinavia they build the refill stations for hydrogen next to lakes. So they pump out the water from the lake and reproduce the hydrogen . The best of it it does everything it self/computer/.
The whole refill stations, do not need human worker. you pump it yourself.

Extra bonus the whole system is powerd by sun energy!

its works and do exists. They call it the hydrogen highway.

Already have , and have plans for more...

We'll see what happens over time...our government seems to have a lot invested in oil though in the current day.
As for alternate fuels that are "more available" so to speak, i'd take biodiesel over ethanol.

Haha...staying on topic now!
Many of you say don't drive an evo if you care about the environment...but I actually took that into consideration and picked up my turbo 4 cyl evo instead of a heavy 8cyl gas hog!

I do care about the environment...and to be honest the only things keeping me from running a test pipe are inspection, police, and noise.
