Stock Cat goes which way?

Ok... so the stock cat on the IX has bolts that are welded on. Do they go into the DP or into the CB?

I know the 02 port faces the passenger side.... but the attached bolts go into which?

I've only unbolted the DP side of mine, but the bolts were not welded. I'd bet that the attached bolts point toward the rear.

Down.

As in on the floor, really it can go anywhere as long as it's not on the car restricting the airflow . Sorry, someone had to say it.

The rear of the cat has studs w/ nuts and they attach to the catback and the O2 sensor port points up....

wonderful. Do you think I should use a 0.5'' bit to widen the CB holes so it will fit?
