Buschur Racing's new black car drag set up

So, we broke our turbo at the Mitsubishi VS Subaru race in June. Since then the car has been here and we have been working on it on and off and waiting on the turbo to come back from being repaired.

On the broken turbo the car ran 165.8 mph, which was a new personal best. The car was also experiencing some sort of electrical problem.........

We now have a brand new complete engine wiring harness in the car, custom. We've removed the rest of the weight from the drivers door, no more power windows/lock Then since we moved the fuel cell to the front over the winter and the new cell interfered with the old header/turbo set up we built a new header for the car to get it out from beind the radiator.

Here are some pictures of the new header/turbo/exhuast set up:

We were going to the track tonight but it is raining here, so I guess next week will be the first time we can take the car out again. Not much time before the shootout but the car should be competitive.

We did NOT upgrade to a new larger turbo. We are still running the new for us, GT4202 turbo. It should perform pretty damn good with an unbroken compressor wheel in it.

We are also still running our race intercooler core but we changed the inlet tank on it to work with the new turbo position and eliminate the lower i/c pipe.

For anyone interested we have our complete GT42 set up from before for sale. The kit will come with a brand new turbo (GT42 of your size choice) coated header, new Tial 44mm gate, coated exhaust and dump tube, oil feed and return lines and coated header. Contact us if you are interested. That kit has already been proven good for 8.95 at 164

Also, I need to give a big THANKS to Robert at Forced Performance for stepping up and getting us the turbo for the car when we needed it. We will be flying the FP banners on the car, watch for them.

Thanks for reading.

When I was up there last, I liked it when it only had 3 runners
