We lost some additional weight using the new Tial turbine housing, forgot that change. That is the only change to the turbo itself. No support brackets, with the thick walled tubing we are using I see no need for them.

mpevo8, actually AMS's turbo is much lower and set up to suck air through the lower fascia where it sits...........thanks for the input though.

This is of course a more ideal set up than we had before but with the full frame rails in the car before there was no other place to put the turbo. After the changes we made over this last winter we finally free'd up enough room to put the turbo where we had wanted to all along.

I'm trying to get a better look, but how is the licp connected to the turbo. I see some sort of clamp but can't see a coupling

That is a V-band clamp bro!

There is like a lip at the turbo then one at the pipe , then the lips meet and that clamp goes over them and holds them together No coupler needed

Was there any reason for doing this?

I would think you'd want the weight in the rear to help keep the rear tires planted.

Anyway, beautiful setup, hope you guys take back the crown from those AMS guys.
