I won a set of Evo VI OZ wheels today on Yahoo Auctions Japan and also ordered some Kumho MX 215/40/17's from Tire Rack. Also bought a front set of Brembos with Stoptech rotors, I'm hoping it will all be here within a week, we'll see though.

ive the same brake wheel set up on mine, congrats ,the car looks awesome ,rare in red, not trying to dampen your spirits but stock 4 pistons even though they are forged wont hold up to much more than 1.2 bar/18 psi boost, and evo4 engine are prone to crankwalk,i fitted an evovi engine to mine 3 months after i bought it the 4 engine c/walked.so please be careful, hope all goes well.

Did you paint or powdercoat those wheels white? I just got mine from Yahoo Auctions Japan, but they are being shipped down here from mainland Japan, should be here in a few days. In the pictures they don't look that white.

I'm not too concerned with it. Not really looking to make huge power numbers. I'm looking to get the best response and moderate power, maybe 300atw. I'd like to fit a TME titanium turbo and some nice cams to bring out as much mid-range response as possible.

beacause the 4 ecu cant be remapped alot of guys over here fit 5 ecu,5/6 cams ,5/6 turbo ,560 cc (5 to9) injectors, and walbro255 lph fuel pump, you have the ind and exhaust then you can ecutek the 5 ecu and run 1.2/1.3 bar boost. wheels are shaded in the pic

Would it be feasible to just get a brand new bare block and crank from a V or newer and use my head and some aftermarket pistons and rods? It seems like that might be a good route to go, and it seems like that would negate the possibility of crankwalk.

Well, after the cost of all that, I could just buy a Power FC. The Power FC's are REAL popular over here in Japan, so there's plenty of tuners here. So that's the way I'll go, I've never been a fan of flashes anyways.

They are powder coated from the manufacturer. Not speaking of his specifically, just some offhand knowledge.

That's what I want to do. I think the black Evo VI wheels with the red Brembos behind them and red car would look really good!

Yeah, I actually looked at a couple Evo V's for the same price as this IV. The extra options were nice, but they just weren't in as good of condition as this IV. Also I like the body style of the IV better than the V/VI.
