Quietest intake and best performance?

Right now, I have the HKS RS and wow, this thing is loud. I have a full exhaust which is pretty loud, but I can hear the intake's suction over the exhaust, pretty crazy.

I dont want to go back to a stock intake.

What is the best performing intake without all that loud suction noise? Should I go with the drop in or with the samco intake arm?

I appreciate any help.

any open air filter will be pretty loud
nothing will change the loud sucking sound

if its too loud, go with stock and a drop in filter

Thanks for the quick replies. I will look into the K&N dropin. How about the Blitz & Monster Sport dropins? Any info on those? How about changing the intake piping to either the Samco or Perrin Hoses? I am looking to keep my performance, get rid of the suction noise and increase my turbo spool noise.

One more question.. I am running Tanabe DP, Perrin HF Cat, Espelir Exhaust. My O2 housing is stock. Will changing the O2 housing make a noticeable difference? Which one is a descent/good one, Megan, Titek?

Thanks for the help.

No, I would say on the IX there is other ways of getting more hp/dollar.

k&n, best bang for the buck. have you seen the old test that option magazine did? http://mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ i dont really see how arc stuff could work. all their box designs pull air from top of engine bay (and hot engine air rises).

So with this method you just leavfe off the top of the air box? Wouldn't you get a lot of heat soak?
