I agree that if you do it right, it wont be a problem.. I've driven nothing but AWD cars since I had my first 92 Eclipse GSX.. Got a 93 GSX, a 96 GSX, WRX, and now my EVO.. Never broke a transfer case or tranny.. But, I've known SOO MANY guys with the same thing just driving like maniacs launching at every chance they get, going thru all sorts of trannys and cases.. I just give that advice to all my pals, when they get so focused on doing it.. Thats all...

Red face

I launched it within the first 500 miles and nothing went wrong..

Although I had practiced b4 on a friends evo and the smell wasn't NICE..

I got just about 12K and race pretty often.. Pushing rite around the 370 on pump on the stocker and still holding strong.. I guess sometimes driver does play a part in it..

The stocker is not the greatest thing but its also not the worst..

Well guys, case closed. I finally got some of my buddies with evos to go with me to launch my car. One of the other guyas launched it 1st and t went great. I was thinking "WTF?!?!" Turns out I was being to easy on the clutch and it started building too much boost before I let the clutch all the way out. Thus the horrid slipage i was getting. I launched it after he did, and surprised the guys that were swith me and spun the tires. Then they informed me of wheel hop being DEATH to all driveline parts.

I'm ssssssoooooo glad this was resolved, cause I wanted to buy more go fast parts!!!!

I didn't launch mine until after the break-in period. I believe it was somewhere around 800 miles. I had it at the drag strip within 1200miles.
