Guys, maybe the novelty of a Skyline just wore off ... In all honesty, an Evo can easily hold it's own with a Skyline, though the Skyline does have it's high points. It would be cool to own a RHD Japanese legend, but the Evo is newer and more advanced than the R32 and would likely be more fun to drive.

My opinion ... track down a RHD Evo for a similar "wow" factor. A VI TME would be cool, but it would have a little age on it as well. Either way, an Evo is a damn fun drive. I've only driven one Skyline and it wasn't in any type of performance setting, so I can't weigh in too much on comparison.

Why are you even considering getting rid of the GTR? you can get an EVO almost anywhere...the GTR....man they are nearly impossible to get......how much you want for that GTR?

The point of keeping the GTR (in the USA) is that
1) nobody has it
2) you can tune it to be a monster (RB26 = infinite aftermarket support, if you're willing to pay)
3) novelty factor for owning such a car is through the roof.

It's not down to the performance of the car vs. the evo. It's that it's a high performance car, a tuner classic, and extremely capable.. AND UNIQUE! There are like, several hundred evos in my area of California alone. Sure, we're not as numerous as STi's, but definitely not unique.

BURNALL_4 any motor can crank walk. I work at a local performance shop and I know what the f%ck I am doing. This is not the first Evo I have ever worked on or motor in particular. Everybody has there own opinions. This is something I was just thinking about. Plus GTR's are nice but everything gets old after awhile.

If you are tired of it then sell it. With them being so hard to get, that won't be a problem at all.

So you wanna trade? Seriously though If skyline's would've ever come to the U.S. I am sure that almost all the people who own Evo's and Sti's would be driving those car's instead. I mean I6>I4 + stroke it up to a 3.0 or so and you just have a pure monster. I love the Evo but man it's a skyline.
Edit: I have some money saved up how much do you want for the Car?

There is no doubt that GTR's are great cars. But in order to have a "Godzilla" you need a fat walet. Even when parts are avalible, they are expensive due to the badge. Having a right hand drive car in a left hand drive country is a pain in the a$$ as well.

GTR is such a unique car. If I saw one driving around my area I would take notice to it immediately. Keep it. It's an awesome car.

Yeah, sell the R32. People hear GTR and go all goofy. They have no idea how hard it is to get parts for them. Tuning parts? Pretty easy. Its all the common wear items and trim thats a kick to the nuts. At the end of the day its just a car. An OLD car at that. I have owned 3 skylines and I'd never have another one... well maybe a R34 Nur.

I will post pics when I get out of work. I really can't work on my car until after hours.

You have to pay the Vallet guys to park up front, with no-one around to door-ding you. They do NOT drive the car.
