AEM tru boost question

So I got into my car this morning and started it per usual and for some odd reason my AEM tru boost decided not to power on. Which brings me to ask what could possibly cause this to happen?? A small breakdown of the install and current condition of the car: The boost gauge was soldered to switched wires behind the radio, radio powers on fine and work fine (boost gauage not turning on??). I took the underhood vent off so it's just the hood grill and my windows were slightly cracked last night and we got some pretty heavy rain last night. Could have something under the hood be messed up with the gauge?? Gauge was working perfectly last night. Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be much appreciated thanks!!

Problem is simple. Your device is drawing more current than the gauge of the radio wires will allow. Those guys are pretty small at 26ga. I had similar issues with my electronics so I decided to hard-wire the devices directly off the battery with 16ga wiring and automotive relay.

yeah I was told there's also a fuse for the radio under the hood as well as in cabin?? would swapping in a higher amp fuse possibly work?? guess i'm gonna have to troubleshoot that later tonight.
