Question not passing emissions in NY (evap and egr) not ready?

Not sure if this is the right place to post...

Just came from inspection and the tech there said that my evap and egr are not ready so I cant pass emissions...

I already drove it close to 30+ miles before going there. Any ideas? could the sensors have gone bad?

Are you running a cat or a test pipe?

i passed ny state emissions with cams and a test pipe, u need to buy the sensor extender for after the test pipe. this pulls it out of the main pipe so very little smog hits the sensor. do a search, u can buy this at most auto parts stores.

Did you reset your ECU? Sounds like the cycle check up on the sensors in not complete. It can happen if you disconnect the battery.

It doesn't matter how many miles you drove. You need to go through 7-10 cycles. Drive it around for a week and go back. Or find a friend with a scantool to check your readiness codes.
